10000 Pianos is a music ensemble and immersive sound installation developed through well known composition techniques for multiple pianos. The ensemble performances become more than concerts, they become enriching communal gatherings with the potential to deliver unique life-experiences for audiences. The project aspires to remedy the lack of presence, due to domination of the virtual by emphasizing physical presence, embodiment, and the meditative experience.

it becomes whole and returns
the 10000 pianos stir about
then return to the sea of sound
returning to stillness
to the ordinary
understand the ordinary
the mind opens
mind opening leads to compassion
compassion to virtue
virtue to holiness
holiness to the great mystery
